Delores Pace
Delores C. Pace, age 69, of Lancaster,
passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home,
rural Lancaster. She was born on May 8, 1946, in Sidney,
OH, the daughter of Gerald and Gladys (Shroyer) Meyers.
Delores graduated from Lake View High School in Lake View, OH, in 1964.
She was employed at a bakery in Tinsley, OH, prior to moving to
Wisconsin. On August 6, 1994, Delores was united in
marriage to David L. Pace at the United Methodist Church in Bloomington.
She furthered her education at Southwest Technical College in
Fennimore graduating in 1995. Delores was employed as a
cake decorator at Dick's Bakery and Wal-Mart Bakery in Platteville.
She loved dancing, camping, painting, drawing, teaching, judging cake
decorating, candy making and making her world famous graham cracker pudding.
Delores will be truly missed especially her spirit, love, laughter
and passion for faith, family and friends. May she rest
in God's hands.
Survivors include her husband, Dave Pace; her children:
Doug (Lori) Barnes; Darren Barnes; and Debbie (Tuan) Blum-Luu;
grandchildren: Crystal (Tim) Chaney; Deana (Dan DeMuth)
Barnes; Dakota (Emily) Barnes; Danielle Blum; Anthony Luu; siblings:
Jimmy Meyers; Georgia Marker; Betty Brehm; Barbara (Jack) Corwin;
many nieces and nephews.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 18,
2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Community Church in Lancaster with Pastor
Dave Arevalo and Pastor Simon Chappell officiating.
Burial will be at a later date. Family and friends called on Sunday, April 17, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the
Calvary Community Church and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of

Thomas
Pace
Thomas Grant Pace, age 78, of Bagley,
passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Atrium Post Acute Care in
Lancaster. He was born August 15, 1938, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Myron and
Marie (Ruh) Pace. Tom lived in Bagley, WI, and other exciting places. He
served in United States Marine Corp. 1957-1961. Tom enjoyed traveling the
world, reading and gaining knowledge from many sources. He was constantly
seeking information and interesting people to learn from. He was a very avid
collector and loved going to auctions. His life work consisted of many
things including siding salesman, roofer and construction.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brother Lyle
Pace; sisters: Treva Trine, Shirley Satter, and Jean Kelley; nephew Bruce
Bailey; niece Carol Schultz; great-nephews: Ben Bailey and Mitch Pace.
He is survived by Nephews: Gary Pace, and Mike Bailey;
nieces: Terri Bailey Leffler, Patti Pace Blabaum, Jody Bailey, Kathy Kelley
Hoffman; many Great-nephews and nieces along with their families and also
his special close friends: Gary Adams, Jeff and Deb Umhoefer, who all loved
him dearly and will miss him and also sharing Uncle Tom's great stories of
his many adventures, life stories and words of wisdom!!!
Grave side services with military honors were in
Bagley Cemetery, Bagley, on Sunday, October 23, 2016, at 12:00 noon with
Pastor Pamela Strakeljahn officiating.

Margaret M. Pafford
Margaret M. Pafford, age 84, of
Survivors include her children: Gloria Trybe, Ft. Collins, CO; Marcia (Dennis) Vincent, Lancaster; James Jr. (Colleen) Pafford, Marquette, MI; Bernie (Valeta) Pafford, Berkley Heights, NJ; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister: Gertrude Oshman, Deforest; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by
her husband, a granddaughter, Angela Vincent, a great-grandson, Ryan
Vincent and a sister, Barbara Harris.

Donald Pagni
Donald P. Pagni, age 79, of Lancaster,
passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque.
He was born on January 3, 1937, the son of Arnold and Maria (Zarlenga) Pagni.
Donald graduated from Lane Tech High School and furthered his education at
the Cosmopolitan School of Music and Roosevelt University, both in Chicago,
earning a Master's degree in Music. In April of 1962, he was united in
marriage to Lee Ann Hilgoe. Three children were born to this union:
Michael, Lisa and Daniel. Donald was employed as a liquor store
manager in the Chicago suburbs and later in Dodgeville. He moved to
Lancaster in 1988 where he taught music privately in the Lancaster
Community. Don shared his musical gift with thousands. He
accompanied countless high school and middle school students, played for
many weddings and funerals, and volunteered his talents at Orchard Manor
Nursing Home. Donald served as the musician/sound technician for the
Lancaster Community Players, was the librarian for the Lancaster Community
Band and played with the Larry Busch Band. His talent and presence in
the Lancaster community will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his three children: Michael
(Lynette) Pagni, Dodgeville; Lisa (Tom) Nicolai, Lancaster; Daniel (Tara)
Pagni, Wheaton, IL; seven grandchildren: Angelynn, Michael (Britney),
Brandon, and Jonathan Pagni; Jacob (Fianc Amber Wilson) Iverson; Mabrie and
Marcus Pagni; one great-grandchild, Damon and one on the way.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were on Saturday, October 29, 2016,
at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory, 1234 S Madison,
Lancaster, WI, with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Private family
burial will be at a later date. Family and friends called on Friday,
October 28, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home where
an 8:00 p.m. musical tribute orchestrated by the Larry Busch Band was held. Friends also called on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of
services at the funeral home.
Gary P. Pape
Gary P. Pape, age 63, of Cassville, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. He was born on October 21, 1947, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Paul and Eileen (Winner) Pape. Gary graduated from Dubuque Senior High School. He then pursued a career as a professional musician. His talent was singing and playing the guitar with the Ridge Runners and Muddy Hollow bands. In 1973, Gary moved to Cassville. He was most recently employed at Cabelas in Prairie du Chien as an outfitter. Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed shooting trap at the Cassville Conservation Club. Gary also taught hunters education courses.
Survivors include his brother, Gene (Linda) Pape, Dyersville, IA; his sister, Margie Pape, Cassville; special friend, Susan Hedley, Patch Grove; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Joan Lammers and a brother-in-law, Ambrose Pete Lammers.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, May 2, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Cassville with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends called on Monday, May 2, 2011, from 12:00 noon until time of services at the funeral home.
Arden
B. Parker
Arden Buck B. Parker, age 88, of Patch Grove, died on Sunday, June 17, 2012, at his home. He was born on December 11, 1923, in Millville, the son of James and Ella (Millin) Parker. Arden attended school at Campbell Ridge School and LaCrosse Technical College where he was awarded a degree in welding. He served his country during World War II and was awarded an Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon, Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. On June 21, 1952, Arden was united in marriage to Pauline Palmer at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. After their marriage, Arden was employed at Allis Chalmers as a welder for twenty-one years. He farmed in Grant County until his retirement in 2010. Arden enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling and working on the farm. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Rick (Carol) Parker, Prairie du Chien; three grandchildren: Amy (Adam) Kratochvill, Bangor; Jesse (Jamie) Parker, Tina (Nate) Parker, all of Prairie du Chien; thirteen great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Pauline, Arden was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Ethel (Art) Simons, Glee (Joe) Cuchna; Kenneth (Agnes) Parker; Harold Smokey (Marie) Parker, and Martha Parker; an infant grandchild, Stacy James and an infant great-grandchild, Keith.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington with Pastor Mary Ann Floerke officiating. James A. Parkins
James A. "Jim" Parkins, age 77, of
Glen Haven, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Grant Regional
Health Center, Lancaster, unexpectedly due to a heart attack.
He was born on November 5, 1937, in Bloomington, the son of Rollo and
Pauline (Hampton) Parkins. Jim graduated from Bloomington
High School in 1956. After graduation, he farmed the
family farm. Jim began his own business as a carpenter
and retired in 1997. On July 26, 1999, he was united in
marriage to Terri Beesecker. Jim enjoyed his vegetable
and flower garden and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved
the Wisconsin Badgers and was a very hard worker his entire life.
Jim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their
activities.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Parkins, Glen Haven;
children: James (Kristy) Parkins, Jr., Eau Claire; Cheryl
Mergen, Bloomington; Kurt Achenbach, Richland Center; Craig Achenbach,
Fairfield, IA; Dr. Tara (Steve) Morgan, Lancaster; fourteen grandchildren:
Crystal (Josh) Taylor; Ashley Mergen; Valerie and Cole Parkins;
Kolten, Luke, and Emma Achenbach; Joseph and Jacob Jeardeau; Mackenzie, Ty,
Jessica, Addison, and Cooper Morgan; one brother, Robert (Bernadette)
Parkins, Bloomington; his dog, Blue; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death
by his first wife, Sharon.

Diana J. Pasold
Diana J. Pasold, age 68, of Rockford, IL formerly of Bagley, WI died November 15, 2008 at the home of her son in Rockford. She was born January 30, 1940 in Potosi, WI, the daughter of Harry and Virginia (Pickett) Schiffman. On April 23, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert C. Pasold at the United Methodist Church in Lancaster, WI.
Diana endured a constant battle of many health issues for many years. With a great deal of compassion as a caring wife, mother, grandma, sister and in-law, she always wished her family and friends were happy and full! Diana was involved in many activities as she worked as a laborer in many fields of business manufacturing, cleaning services, and as a senior caregiver. She loved fishing, boating, and beaching. Diana learned from her mother cooking, crafting, quilting and gardening. She loved fun and games, cards, and dice. Diana was an avid supporter of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.
Surviving is a son, Sheldon (Naomi) Pasold, Rockford, IL; two grandsons: Derek Pasold, Tulsa, OK and Brandon Pasold, Rockford, IL; four brothers, Don (Eileen) Schiffman, Bagley, Doug (Marion) Schiffman, Cassville, David (Connie) Schiffman, Rockford, IL and Dick (Shirley) Shiffman, Potosi; three sisters; Darlene OFarrell, Riverside, CA, Sharlene (James) Udelhoven, Tennyson and Debbie Dirksen, Rockford, IL and many, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert, on April 21, 2006 as well as one sister, Eileen Tracy and a brother, Dale Schiffman.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster with Pastor Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Luella E. Patcle
Luella E. Patcle, age 93, of Potosi, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on April 6, 1915 in Potosi Township, WI, the daughter of Leo and Dora (Duve) Leeser. Luella graduated from St. Andrew High School. On September 28, 1937, she married John Patcle at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Potosi. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1969. Luella worked for many years as a nurses aid at Lancaster Memorial Hospital and she also farmed with her husband until his death in rural Potosi. Luella liked to dance, travel, crochet, knit, sew, and play cards.
She is survived by three children: Dorothea (Carl) Blindert, John (Cheryl) Patcle, and Louis (Yolonda) Patcle, all of Potosi; her special friend, Russell Kasparek, Lancaster; 13 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Leeser, Potosi; and Mabel (Merlin) Brandt, Potosi; and a brother-in-law, Frank (Helen) Patcle, Potosi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; one granddaughter at birth; her great-grandson, Brad Welter; and her brother, Joe Leeser.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.

Leffler officiating. Burial was in St. Thomas
Cemetery, Potosi. Visitation was held on Saturday, June 14, 2008

Michael G. Patterson
Michael G. Patterson, age 58, of La Salle, IL, died Sunday, January 8, 2012, at the OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL.
Michael was born on September 29, 1953, in Elgin, IL, a son of Robert & Muriel (Osbon) Patterson. He attended Illinois Wesleyan University, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education. He later attended Northern Illinois University, receiving a Masters Degree in Computer Science.
Michael worked for IBM and later for AT&T as a computer programmer.
He loved rock music and playing his electric bass guitar.
Michael is survived by his children, Ian (Michelle) Patterson of Lewisburg, VA and Sara Patterson of Greenwood, IN; fiance, Janice Ramoino of Spring Garden, IL; parents, Robert and Muriel Patterson of Lancaster; grandchildren, twins Katelynn & Victoria Patterson, Alexander Patterson, Isabel Patterson, and one more on the way; sister, Mary List of Galena, IL; and a niece, Audrey List of Galena, IL.
Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday , January, 12, 2012, at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster, with Pastor Mark Dieter officiating. Robert Patterson
Robert H. "Jerry" Patterson, age 86, passed away Thursday,
June 9, 2016 at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque, IA. He was born on March
28, 1930 in Barrington, IL, the son of Robert H. and Ethel Mae (Liles)
Patterson Sr. Jerry graduated from Barrington High School, and later
attended Illinois Institute of Technology. He earned his Bachelor of
Science, and obtained his Master's Degree in Information Systems. On June
15, 1951 Jerry was united in marriage to Muriel Osbon. He enlisted in the
National Guard and was called to duty with the U.S. Army during the Korean
Conflict, and stationed in Germany. Upon his return, Jerry began his career
with the Indiana Rating Bureau. He was later employed with Western Electric
located in Cicero and Montgomery, Illinois. Jerry played in the Naperville
city band, and sang in many church choirs. He was an old house enthusiast,
member of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, Lancaster
Congregational Church, and Schreiner Memorial Library Board. Jerry enjoyed
genealogy, and reading James Patterson books.
Surviving is his loving wife, Muriel; his daughter,
Mary List; grandchildren, Ian (Michelle) and Sara Patterson, Audrey List;
and great grandchildren, Victoria, Katie, Isabelle, Alexander and Angus
James "AJ" Patterson.
Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Michael; a son
in law, John J. List; and a sister, Marilyn (John) Buell.

Richard Burns American Legion Post No. 109, William Pollock VFW Post No.
2344, and DAV No. 40, were held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.
at the Lancaster Congregational Church, with Rev. Mark Dieter officiating.

Gloria Pauley
Gloria L. Pauley, age 86, of Potosi,
passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society,
Fennimore. She was born January 16, 1931, in Lancaster,
the daughter of Adolf C. and Elenore (Salis) Buss. Gloria
graduated from Lancaster High School. She was employed as
a nurse's aide at Xavier Hospital in Dubuque, IA, and the former Lancaster
Memorial Hospital. Gloria later was employed at
Loudspeaker Components LLC in Lancaster and retired after working at the
Twin Platte Center. She enjoyed going to auctions,
fishing, shopping, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Gloria and her husband, Jim, spent many wonderful winters in
Louisiana, where they liked to travel and listen to Cajun music.
Survivors are her daughters: Vicki
(Dennis) Clark; Deb (John) Stoney; Carol (Dale) Meier; 10 grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; one brother, Dave (Diane) Buss; a sister, Sandy
Carns; sisters-in-law: Darlene and Sheila Buss; Mary and
Ruth Pauley; Melrose Stoney.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her son,
Daniel "Otis" (Darla) Oates; her brothers: La Dell "Buzzy", Steve and Gary
Buss; brothers-in-law: Tess, Frank, and Jack Pauley; Dale
Stoney; and George "Ted" Carns.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 18,
2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory, 144 N Main,
Potosi. Burial was in Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi.

Judy Paulus
Judy K. Paulus, age 59, of Bloomington,
passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at UW Hospital & Clinics in Madison.
She was born on June 22, 1956, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of
Charles and Irene (Long) Enke. Judy graduated from West Grant
High School in 1974. After graduation, she began her career
at Bloomington State Bank. Judy was later employed at True
Value Hardware in Prairie du Chien, Turner Motors in Lancaster, and most
recently Larry Stark Mobile Homes in Prairie du Chien. She
was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington and was a fair
superintendent at the Blake's Prairie Junior Fair in Bloomington and the Grant
County Fair in Lancaster. Judy devoted time to the Bloomington
Volunteer Fire Department when they hosted a fundraiser or were called out.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, a good game of cards, and sometimes,
deer and squirrel hunting with her husband, Dennis.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis; a sister, Jean (Dan)
Case; two brothers, Bill and Bob Enke; a niece, Penny (Dan) Schelberger and
their son, Riley; her father, Charles Enke; and her father-in-law, Charles
Paulus; and many members of the Paulus family.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Enke;
mother-in-law, Loris Paulus; and a sister-in-law, Amy Moris.

Loris K. Paulus
Loris K. Paulus, age 72, of Bloomington, died on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on February 4, 1939, in Mt. Ida Township, the daughter of John R. and Hattie M. (McGraw) Clark. She graduated from Mt. Hope High School in 1956. On September 19, 1957, Loris was united in marriage to Charles J. Paulus at St. Marys Catholic Church, Bloomington. She was employed as a secretary for Hermsen Hardware Store for thirty years, retiring in January of 2009. Loris was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and was a chairperson for various activities the church held. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, cooking, gardening, playing cards, walking and bowling. Loris also enjoyed going for rides with her husband. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and attending her grandchildrens activities.
Survivors include her loving husband, Charles Paulus, Bloomington; children: Dennis (Judy) Paulus, Bloomington; Kris (Jeff) Reuter, Lancaster; John (Cathie) Paulus, Chisago City, MN; Jo Marie (Bill) Moore, Dubuque, IA; Cynthia Paulus, Clear Lake, IA; son-in-law, Mark Moris, Bloomington; ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; sisters: Rosemary (Neil) Kuenster, Lancaster; Sharon (John) Fassbender, Middleton; sister-in-law, Jeanette Clark, Prairie du Chien; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Phyllis I. Payne
Phyllis I. Payne, age 88, of Lancaster died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster. She was born on September 27, 1919 in Wyalusing Township, WI, the daughter of Abraham and Elma (Woodman) Key. Phyllis attended Brodtville Grade School and Brunson country school. She graduated from Patch Grove High School, where she was an avid student and excelled in all subjects. She moved to Lancaster in 1938, and on August 18, 1940 married Bernard Bernie Payne. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1997. For more than thirty years, she was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. During most of that time, she served in the role of chief clerk/chief program assistant for the Grant County USDA office. Phyllis enjoyed her work greatly, had a distinguished work record, and was widely known and respected by farmers throughout the area for her efficiency and dedication. She retired in 1981. Following the death of her husband, she took over his advertising business and managed it for many years.
Phyllis loved living in the community of Lancaster and took great pleasure in meticulously maintaining her beautiful old home on Elm Street. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and was blessed with many special friends, neighbors, and relatives. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Douglas Payne, Junction City; her daughter Cheryl (Michael) Murphy, Green Bay; her sister, Lucille (Lyle) Bellrichard, Lancaster; three granddaughters: Dawn Byrum, Waupaca; Nissa Rasmussen, New York City; and Chelsea Rasmussen-Collins, Los Angeles; her great-granddaughter, Amanda Byrum; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Virgil, Kenneth, Keith, and Russell Key; and her sisters: Ivanelle Murray and Laura Key.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster with Reverend Barbara Cook officiating. Burial was in Prairie Cemetery, Fennimore. Friends called on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
Donald G. Peake
Donald G. Peake, age 68, of Lancaster, passed away at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, South Lancaster Township, on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, after a battle with Lymphoma cancer. He was born in Lancaster, on February 19, 1941, the son of Glenn and Bertha (Wieland) Peake. Due to his mothers illness, his grandmother, Martha (Behnke) Wieland helped raise him in childhood. Donald was a 1959 graduate of Lancaster High School. He earned a bachelors degree in secondary education from UW-Platteville in 1963. For thirty-four years, he taught social studies and English at Potosi Community Schools. On October 10, 1986, Donald was united in marriage to Virginia Edge at the First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster. He was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church serving as an usher, greeter, Sunday school teacher, and lay reader. He also freely associated with the congregation of Christ Lutheran Church in Lancaster, serving as an usher, greeter and lay reader. In retirement, he was a member of the Platteville Area Retired Educators Association, served as a volunteer Bingo caller at Orchard Manor for the Christ Lutheran Church womens group, and was a volunteer at the Passages Thru Time Museum in Potosi. Donald was an avid Packers, Badgers, Brewers and Flying Arrows Football fan.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Peake, Lancaster; his son, Bryan Peake, Lancaster; his mother-in-law, Carol Edge, Platteville and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Edge, his brother-in-law, Douglas Edge and aunts, uncles, cousins, including a special aunt, Edna Cummins.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Lancaster with Reverend David Froemming officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends called on Friday, December 4, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Lancaster and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church.
The family suggests that in lieu of plants and flowers, memorials be made to the family where a scholarship for Potosi students will be set up at a later time along with other favorite charities of the family.
George Pebworth
George Aubrey Pebworth, Jr., 51,
passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at his rural home after a
fierce battle with Amyloidosis.
George was born January 16, 1964, in
Centralia, Washington, the son of George Aubrey Pebworth and Josephine Lincoln
Pebworth, former mayor of Lancaster, Wisconsin, both of whom preceded him in
death as did his special pup, Mary. He graduated from Lancaster High School and
attended the University of Wisconsin, Platteville.
He is survived by his son Chase
Aubrey (Kaitie Panka) Pebworth, sisters, Ky Burke, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and
Sarah Pebworth, Blue Hill, Maine, his former wife and love of his life, Angela
Pebworth and her parents, Eugene ''Gene'' and Darlene (Cadwell) Willkomm, and
niece and nephews, Scott and Sarah Burke, and Aidan and Cooper Willkomm, and a
host of fun-loving friends, including his childhood camping buddies, Arthur
"Chip" Grensing and Greg Grudzina.
George
considered fishing his most important job.When he wasn't on the water or the
ice, you could find him splitting wood; ''Have you seen my woodpile?'' He worked
at Millprint Inc. in Lancaster for 15 years. In 2002, he, Angie, and Chase built
the Whitetail Bluff Camp and Resort in rural Cassville, out of a cornfield on
the banks of the Mississippi River, which they operated until 2014. He was easy
to spot in his signature orange t-shirt.
He was so proud of his talented son
Chase, following his music career closely. Sick though he was, he kept his
upbeat attitude, looking out for others right until the end.
In lieu of
flowers, please raise a glass of Captain Morgan and tell the ones closest to you
that you love them. In keeping with George's wishes, there was no
visitation, funeral service, or tears. A Celebration of Life Party will be held
at a later date. His final words, ''Now stop worrying about me and

J. Pellock
Richard J. "Dick" Pellock, age 80, of
Cassville, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Finley Hospital in
Dubuque, IA. He was born August 6, 1934, on Du Charme
Ridge, north of Prairie du Chien. Dick graduated from
Cassville High School where he excelled in basketball and baseball, and
later attended UW-Marquette. He enlisted in the United
States Army from 1953 until 1956. On May 14, 1960, he was
united in marriage to Joann K. Wood at St. Charles Catholic Church in
Cassville. In 1964, Dick began employment as a welder
with John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works, retiring after thirty years in 1994.
He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.
Dick enjoyed golfing and was an avid sports enthusiast following the Green
Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers, high school, college and
professional teams. He dearly loved keeping up with his
family and their activities.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Joann; a
son, Mitchell and a daughter, Kimberly Russell; grandchildren:
Ryan, Cory, Katie, Jeff and Taylor; three brothers:
Rod (Marilyn), Doug, and Greg (friend Trish) Wiest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Anna
Wiest and a beloved son, Jeffrey.

Joyce Pennekamp
Joyce Pennekamp, age 60, of Potosi, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 2, 2009 at St. Marys Hospital in Madison. She was born on February 11, 1949, the daughter of Lavern and Dorothy (Buss) Noel in Dubuque , Iowa . She graduated from Potosi High School in 1967. Joyce was united in marriage to Donald Pennekamp on September 3, 1966 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Potosi .
Joyce enjoyed gardening, reading, wood refinishing, fishing, coon hunting, ginseng and mushroom hunting, the outdoors and last but not least, going to the dog track. She also liked baking, canning, crocheting, and helping people. Joyce loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Donald, Potosi; five children: Tim (Stacy) Pennekamp, Potosi, Jeremy (Jennifer) Pennekamp, Cobb, Laura (Aaron) Digman, Platteville, Sarah (Brad) Digman, Platteville and Rachel (Luke) Longhenry, Madison; 13 grandchildren: Sydney, Alexandria, Noah, Nickolas, Caden, Hannah, Skye, Devin, Caleb, Alayna, Jace, Lauren and Jenna; her twin sister, Judy Noel, Lancaster; two brothers: Tom (Karen) Noel, DeSoto and John (Deb) Noel, Beetown; her sister, Brenda (Dennis) Watters, Lancaster; nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Donald Oates; her son, Tommy; her sister, Suzanne and her brother, Steven.

Kathleen S. Pennekamp, age 71,
of Potosi, died Thursday, December 12, 2013, at her home, surrounded
by her family. Kathleen was born on July 11, 1942
in Ellenboro, a daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Hall) Marcue.
Kathleen married Gerald L. Pennekamp on August 8, 1961 in
Potosi.
Kathleen enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping,
quilting, riding her golf cart, and spending time on the lake up
north.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Gerald;
three sons, Jeffrey (Nancy), Larry (Karen), and Greg; five
grandchildren, Jerry Pennekamp, Nicole Brehm, Leah Pennekamp, Joel
Pennekamp, and Jamie Pennekamp; two great-grandchildren, Garrett
Brehm and Brittney Brehm; a sister, Janet Millard; a brother,
Francis Marcue; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives &
friends.

Ruth I. Percival, age 91, of Lancaster, formerly of Potosi, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on August 26, 1916 in Bismarck, North Dakota, the daughter of Ralph and Matilda (Envick) Turner. On November 10, 1936, she married Delbert C. Percival at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson. Together they owned and operated the Greenhouse Tavern in Kieler, and later the Roadhouse Tavern in Tennyson, until retiring in 1979. She loved to go shopping and tend to her flower garden. Her greatest joy was her two grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her son, Larry (Katrina) Percival, Potosi; two grandchildren: Eric Percival (Leah Pronschinske) and Kelly Percival, both of Potosi; one brother, Leonard (Faye) Turner, Scio, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a twin brother in infancy.

Lucille Petersen
Lucille "Lucy" Petersen, age 91, formerly
of Lancaster, died in the St. Croix Health Center on Wednesday, November 4,
2015, in New Richmond, WI.
Lucille was born February 26, 1924, in Lancaster, to Dwight
Henry and Catherine C. (Kraneburg) Fitzgerald. She graduated from Lancaster High
School in 1942. Lucille was preceded in death by husband George Ernest Petersen
on May 13, 1992, whom she married September 18, 1942, in Dubuque, IA. They
farmed successfully in the Lancaster area. In later years George chose to become
an independent carpenter, while Lucille became a bookkeeper for the Bailey Oil
Company in Lancaster. In early 2000, Lucille moved to New
Richmond, WI to be close to family members.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Patricia Alta
(Petersen) Jonas (Thomas) and Shirley Ann (Petersen) Cronick
(Joseph M.); Grandchildren: George W. Jonas (Mary) of
Chicago, IL and Victor P. Jonas (Michelle) of Cottage Grove, MN, Joseph P.
Cronick of Madison, WI , and Susannah R. Cronick of New Richmond, WI.; Great
grandchildren Sophia, Henry, Madeline, and Cooper.

Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 10:00
a.m. Burial will be at Dodge Cemetery where George is buried.

Dale Phelps
Dale L. Phelps, age 92, of Lancaster,
passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, following a brief illness, at Atrium P

Acute Care in Lancaster. He was born on July 15, 1923, in
Elkport Iowa the son of Levi and Katherine (Wentz) Phelps. Dale graduated from
Cassville High School in 1941. He worked several jobs before his career began in
1958 with Braniff Airlines. He worked various positions in Rockford, IL.,
Rochester, MN, and Des Moines, IA., He married Lucille M.
Mergen on September 26, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glen Haven. After
29 years in the airline industry, Dale retired in 1982. He and Lucille then
moved to Prairie du Chien, Cassville, and in their later years to Lancaster. He
enjoyed family reunions, carpentry, woodworking, big band music and church
dinners. He loved his family and keeping up with their activities
Surviving is his wife Lucille, their
children, Darrel Phelps, Angela (Roger Moots) Conklin, Monica (Luis Morales) Mains,
and Christopher (Jenny) Phelps, a granddaughter Susan Conklin
and a nephew, Robert "Red" Walsh.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by
his sister, Ruth Walsh, and her children, Patrick "Terry", Sharlene "Kay",
Lawrence "Tob" Walsh, and Patsy Jean Holden.

Pfaff
Warren Pfaff, age 65, of Platteville,
lost a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 21, 2015.
He was born in North Lancaster Township on March 9, 1950, the son of
Henry and Ruth (Cook) Pfaff. Warren grew up in North
Lancaster and Seneca, and graduated from Seneca High School.
He served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in
1970 as an E-4.
Warren was united in marriage to Viola Breuer on July
24, 1971. They lived for a time in Seneca, Cassville,
Lancaster and Cobb. He worked for Lancaster FS and Cobb
Canning Factory.
Warren later completed Maintenance Mechanic
Apprenticeship certification from Moraine Park Technical Institute, Fond du
Lac, and earned an Associate Degree in Electronic Telecommunications from WI
Indianhead Technical Institute, Rice Lake. This led to an
over twenty year career in telecommunications in Maryland, Marietta/Atlanta,
GA and Roanoke, VA. He returned to Lancaster in 2010,
then lived in Platteville since May 2014. Warren was very
proud of his children and grandchildren and was looking forward to the
upcoming birth of his first great-grandchild.
Warren is survived by three children and their

Magnus and Arija, all of Dubuque, IA; Melissa Pfaff, Dubuque, IA and her

Robert Pierce, age 93, of Lancaster,
formerly of Potosi, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Orchard Manor
Nursing Home. Robert was born October 31,
1923, in Potosi Township the son of Leonard and Hannah (Koeller) Pierce.
He was united in marriage to Evelyn Wieland on June 19, 1947.
Together they farmed for 48 years in Waterloo Township where they
raised their four sons: Norbert, Donald, Ronald, and Darwin.
Robert was a very humble, hardworking man who had a love for the
outdoors. If he wasnt in the field making hay or
planting the crops, you could usually find him on the bank of the river
fishing, hunting, playing cards, bingo, or going to the casino.
He always had a smile on his face.
Robert is survived by his sisters: Marie Stoney, Louise
Koelker, Genelda Krafjack and Helen (Norman) Hoffman. His
four sons: Norbert (Arlene) Wieland of Potosi, Donald (Virginia) of Grundy
Center IA, Ronald (Marilyn) of Potosi and Darwin (Betty) of Potosi.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Michelle Schmitz, Michael
Wieland, Curtis Wieland, Chad Wieland, David Pierce, Thomas Pierce,
Jennifer( Pierce) Vande-Vooren, Elizabeth Pierce, Bob
Pierce, Jamie Pierce, Daniel Pierce and Ryan Pierce; 30 great-grandchildren
and many great-great grandchildren.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his wife
Evelyn, a sister Leona Friedman, a brother Leonard Jr. and a grandson

Carol P. Pink
Carol Phyllis Mickelson Pink, age 86, died on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster. She was born on January 10, 1927, in Payette, Idaho, to Andrew and Hazel (Saling) Mickelson. Carol was the youngest of six sisters. After graduation from Payette High School, Carol became a stenographer with the United States Navy on Mare Island, a naval shipyard in California. It was there that she met the sailor from Wisconsin who she would marry. Carol and Stan were united in marriage on October 10, 1946, in Payette. They then returned to Lancaster where they farmed for twenty years. After retiring from the farm, they moved to town where Stan worked for Wisconsin Power and Light for seventeen years and Carol continued to raise their seven children. You could never stop by the Pinks residence without seeing and smelling freshly baked goods on the counter. Stan and Carols favorite vacations were in the mountains of Colorado. It was in those mountains that for many years they were the camp bosses for their sons hunting camps. Carol was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America, Homemakers, and was active in 4-H. She also worked as a secretary for St. Clement School and the Wisconsin Gas Company. Stan preceded her in death in February 2009, after sixty-two years of marriage. One of Carols sisters-in-law said it best, In all of her days at Orchard Manor, I never heard any complaints from her. She was always satisfied with whatever it was. That best describes how Carol lived her life. Carol will be missed by all who knew her and also by her second family at Orchard Manor. Many thanks to the caregivers there.

Douglas M. Pink
Douglas M. Pink, loving
husband, father, and grandfather; successful and respected business
owner; aviation enthusiast; died on Tuesday after a five month
battle with glioblastoma. He was 58.
Doug, son of the late Stan and Carol
Pink, grew up on a small dairy farm in Lancaster with his 6 brothers
and sisters. After graduating from Lancaster High School in
1973, he went on to study and graduate with a bachelors degree in
agricultural business from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
Doug started his career in banking at Union Bank and Trust and later
became President and Owner of Charter Fuels, the largest family
owned propane company in Wisconsin. In his 25+ year career in
the propane industry he more than tripled the size of Charter Fuels,
originally named Haskins Gas and Oil, from 3 branch offices
concentrated in the southwest corner of Wisconsin to 7 offices
statewide reaching customers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa,
Illinois, and the upper peninsula of Michigan.
Doug loved spending time with his family,
whether it was ski trips to Colorado, mountain biking in the
Chequamegon forest in northern Wisconsin, watching movies, fly
fishing in Montana, walking the grounds of the Oshkosh air show,
spending long weekends in the family cabin in Waupaca, cheering on
the Badgers at Camp Randall... These are memories his family will
always cherish.
Doug was always fascinated by aviation.
When he was young he dreamt of being a Navy pilot coming in for
approach on an aircraft carrier. Doug fulfilled his dream of
flight when he became a licensed VFR/IFR certified pilot. He
first flew a Piper Cherokee and grew into a Cirrus (aka Flaps).
Doug took great pride in being able to fly.
Later in life Doug got back to his roots,
moving back to his beloved Lancaster farmland. Oh, how he
loved playing farmer, digging his culverts, riding his tractor,
cross-country skiing, and admiring the serenity of the country.
Doug also got back into hunting. He enjoyed telling his family
stories of the deer that just barely got away...they all "barely"
got away.
Doug loved and took great pride in
watching his kids grow-up, get married, and start families of their
own.
He was taken from us too soon. But his love and memory will live on in his wife LuAnne, three children: Jeffrey (Brenda), Matthew (Erin), and Hillary (Josh) Budworth, and his five grandchildren: Ethan, Ellie, Gavin, Lauren, and Baby Budworth. His siblings: Gail (Phil) Johnston; Greg (Frances); Denny (Jane); Julie (Gary) Beach; Jay (Emily); Patti (David) Seiler. His mother-in-law, Mary Lou Haskins and her family; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Doug will carry on in those he touched. We love you Dad!
In addition to his parents, Stan and
Carol, Doug was preceded in death his father-in-law, Stanley
Haskins.
Funeral services were held on Monday,
September 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in
Lancaster with Father John Sasse and Msgr. Tom Baxter officiating.
Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends
called on Sunday, September 29, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
at St. Clement Catholic Church and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until
time of services at the church. Schwartz Funeral Home &
Cremation Services is serving the family. In lieu of plants
and flowers, a Douglas M. Pink Memorial Fund has been established.
Paul M. Pink
Paul M. Pink, age 72, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at U W Hospital in Madison. He was born August 13, 1939 in Lancaster, the son of Edward and Florence (Bazinet) Pink. Paul married Rachael E. Gotto on September 28, 1959 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington. He was employed at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works. Paul and Rachael also farmed in rural Lancaster. After his retirement, Paul was a carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. Paul enjoyed watching T.V., playing cards and summer car cruises with friends. The ultimate joys of his life were his children, grandchildren, and most of all, spending time with the love of his life, Rachael.
Survivors include his loving wife, Rachael; daughters: Karen (Jeff Dombeck) Bast; Susan (Pete) Harkness; Victoria (Bob) Leuthner; grandchildren: Nichole (Scott Genz) Ploessl; Ashley (Roger) Patrick; Dylan and Allie Harkness; Elizabeth, Margaret and Lucille Leuthner; great-grandchildren: Ross and Grant Ploessl and Bryson Patrick; his mother-in-law, Margaret Gotto and her family; his brother, Harold; his sisters: Sr. Claire, Bernadine (Ronald) Millin; Irene (Frank) Buhl; Monica (Robert) Eversoll; Bette (Tim) Pink; sister-in-law, Joyce Pink; and a brother-in-law, Leland Haines; and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Dianne; his parents; his father-in-law, Clarence Gotto; son-in-law, Steve Bast; brother, David; a sister, Ruth Ann Haines; brother-in-law, James Gotto; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Pink.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster. Friends also called on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Paul M. Pink memorial fund was established.
